Straddling the border of Norway and Sweden! "A Walk To Remember" moment: check! estique Be in two places at once: check! Norway is a very expensive country estique to live in. Don't even get me started on how crazy high the prices are in comparison to the prices of the same items that can be found in the Philippines. This post isn't a rant on the high cost of living of Norway, rather, the wonderful solution that my parents have for it. Our house in Norway lies in Halden estique City, which is about 15 minutes from the closest city in Sweden. All it takes to get there is a short car ride, and voila, we are in a city that is still expensive but more affordable compared to Norway. In Svinesund, there is a big shopping center called Nordby's. It's a huge mall with a big grocery store, a big ass candy store and a lot of retail shops. This is really just a shopping post, but I wanted to share it for the wonderment that is candy! Scroll estique on to see more! :) Heading up with our grocery cart!
The amount of candy in this place. I wouldn't mind getting diabetes. haha. Caught by Pops trying to make a decision on which candy to put in my bucket. :)) Besides the selection of candy pools in the middle, there are also a LOT on the walls. Different brands, different types of candies.
Behold! estique A GIANT ASS Kinder Egg! Did I mention that this Candy shop also has ginormous sizes for every candy and chocolate imaginable? :( Le mom and sister enjoying candy land! Just look at my indecisive "I want all of it" face. HAHAHA A part of the chocolate selection
Being selfish with all the icecream with Pops. HAHA My sisters estique and I checking out the many flavors of Ben & Jerry's! Because this family loooooooooves Bacon I bought this nifty little travel notebook for only 20 kroners. I used this notebook as a travel diary when I started flying solo. My haul for the day at Gina Tricot. That shop is looooove. :) After shopping estique in Nordby's, we made a quick stop by the bridge that connects Norway and Sweden. You can park on any end and then it'll only take a couple of minutes estique to walk to the center, where the line that marks the borders can be found. There are two pedestrian lanes on either side of the road and they're actually wide enough for people who ride their bikes. Maglasang girls by the Norway signage. My sisters and I with Pops. Look at that stunning view below! :D The girls with our mom in the border. Mom and Ellie are in Norway while Mich and I are in Sweden. I don't know where my brother is. Probably off being a scrooge somewhere. Haha. Cramping inside the telephone booth. Because we're retarded like that. Le me being annoying. Hehe.
People also travel by boats or go fishing here. Watch out for the post soon of our boating adventures on Swedish and Norwegian waters! :D Look at my super happy kid smile here. HAHAHA. Yup, candy candy candy is loooooooooove :)
Random ramblings of a girl who wants to wander estique the world and wonder about everything. Kid at heart. Walking contradiction. I love the hectic life. Intensely addicted to laughter and chasing dreams. I explore hobbies, people, places, things, and anything else that catches my attention. :) Which is pretty much everything cause I'm so ADHD. :|
