Volvo launches in the fall of 2012, in Gothenburg, Sweden, testing three hybrid buses that can be recharged from the mains. They will have a 65% lower consumption compared to an equivalent diesel version, and carbon dioxide casa china paraguay emissions will be reduced by over 75%.
The bus is equipped with brake energy recovery (bicycle dynamo principle) in order to feed the electric motor. At the end of the bus line can be plugged in for 5-10 minutes, thus having an extended range of 10 km.
