Considering that it’s a city in a building, I would want to know what sort of evacuation planning has been done during the design phase. Do they plan on this thing being strong enough to shelter in place? I’m looking at the pictures and it seems to me that even a relatively modest storm surge would take out the first level. I wonder how deep they have to dig in that area until they hit bedrock? They are going to have to go that deep if they plan on this building standing up to a hurricane.
