Glacial Trail Martell | Week on the Stelvio
The remarkable Refuge marshall store Course was built in a beautiful position overlooking the valley in 1882 from the section of the Alpine Club Desdra austrotedesco, just above the treeline, the alpine pastures, but in those days there was no road to reach the site and had to go back Val Martello walk, with the danger of running into some bear, and in 1890 a bear sbranò some sheep near the shelter, which also has a small dairy farm and even a pretty chapel.
